A 30-Day JEE Main Revision Plan Built on Chapter Weightage

Short on time? This 30-day plan uses five years of weightage data to spend your days where marks are, with a built-in mock schedule and a revision buffer.

Thirty days is enough to improve your score meaningfully if you spend them in the right order. This plan uses chapter-wise weightage to decide that order.

The idea

Each subject is split into three tiers: heavy, steady and light. You revise heavy chapters twice, steady chapters once, and light chapters once, quickly.

Your tier lists

  • Physics, Tier 1: Optics, Properties of Solids and Liquids, Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents and Rotational Motion
  • Chemistry, Tier 1: Coordination Compounds, Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen, Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry, Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Hydrocarbons, p-Block Elements and Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure
  • Maths, Tier 1: Co-ordinate Geometry, Integral Calculus, Limit, Continuity and Differentiability, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations and Three Dimensional Geometry

The rest of each subject's chapters fall into Tier 2 and Tier 3, which you can see on each subject page: Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Daily structure

  1. Morning (3 hours): the day's Tier chapter, one subject.
  2. Afternoon (2 hours): chapter-wise PYQs on that chapter.
  3. Evening (1.5 hours): a second subject, lighter revision.
  4. Night (30 minutes): error log.

Remember the dropped chapters

Do not spend any of these 30 days on chapters that are not in the 2026 syllabus. Here is the list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 30 days enough for JEE Main revision?

It is enough to consolidate preparation you have already done. It is not enough to learn the whole syllabus from scratch.

How many mocks should I take?

Three full mocks in 30 days, each followed by a full error analysis, is a good balance.
