PYQs are feedback, not just a score
Previous-year questions help you practise applying concepts and understand the style of examination questions. Their biggest benefit comes from reviewing why you answered correctly or incorrectly.
First attempt: diagnose
Attempt available questions without opening the solution immediately. Mark each response as confident, guessed or uncertain, even if the answer is correct.
Second step: analyse errors
Separate mistakes into:
- Concept gap.
- Formula or method selection.
- Calculation or reading error.
- Time-management issue.
Third step: revise the exact weak concept
Open the corresponding chapter resource, revise the relevant explanation and then retry a suitable question. Repeating the same memorised answer is not the same as understanding.
Measure progress correctly
Track unique questions attempted separately from total attempts. A higher attempt count can be useful for revision, but should not be presented as a larger solved question bank.
