JEE Main Syllabus 2027: Complete Guide
JEE Main is the gateway exam for admission into NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and (via JEE Advanced) the IITs. With lakhs of aspirants competing for a limited number of seats every year, a clear grip on the syllabus — knowing exactly what to study and what's no longer tested — is the first real edge in your preparation.
As of now, NTA has not announced any major changes to the JEE Main syllabus or exam pattern for 2027. The official 2027 information bulletin, along with the syllabus PDF, is expected around October–November 2026 on jeemain.nta.nic.in (opens in a new tab). Until then, the exam follows the same rationalized syllabus structure that's been in place since 2024.

How to Use This Syllabus
- Start with the subject you're weakest in — don't save it for later.
- Cross-reference each chapter against your NCERT textbook before moving to reference material.
- Once you've covered a chapter, test it immediately with topic-wise practice — don't wait till the whole syllabus is "done."
That's exactly why we built EDURACK's mock test platform: subject-wise and chapter-wise question banks, tagged by difficulty, so you can test a chapter the same day you finish it instead of waiting for a full mock.
