Chemistry is really three subjects with three study styles. Physical chemistry is calculation, organic is mechanism and inorganic is recall. Knowing how the questions split helps you divide your time.
The split
We grouped each current chapter into physical, organic, inorganic or practical for study purposes. This grouping is our own, so treat it as a planning aid.

How to study each group
Physical chemistry
Practise numericals daily. Speed and accuracy in calculation is where this group is won. Start with Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry.
Organic chemistry
Learn mechanisms, not lists of reactions. Begin with Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, then work through the functional-group chapters.
Inorganic chemistry
Read NCERT several times and revise with short notes. Make coordination compounds a strength: it is the heaviest single chapter in Chemistry.
