Start with the official syllabus
Download the applicable syllabus from https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ and treat it as the source of truth. Do not assume a chapter is included or removed based on a previous year's summary.
Physics: concepts and numerical fluency
Create a chapter checklist from the official syllabus. For each chapter, track whether you can explain the core idea, recall the key relations, use correct units and solve mixed numerical questions. Record recurring errors separately.
Chemistry: three different revision methods
- Physical Chemistry: understand relationships and practise calculations.
- Organic Chemistry: revise concepts, reagents and reaction reasoning rather than memorising disconnected answers.
- Inorganic Chemistry: use structured tables and frequent factual recall, while checking the official syllabus.
Mathematics: methods before speed
Learn the standard methods, practise different question forms and review where your algebra or calculation goes wrong. A formula sheet is useful only when you can recognise when to apply it.
Turn the syllabus into a working tracker
| Chapter | Concepts revised | Practice attempted | Mistakes reviewed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chapter 1 | Not started / In progress / Done | Count | Date |
| Chapter 2 | Not started / In progress / Done | Count | Date |
Update this tracker weekly. Allocate additional time to chapters where your accuracy remains low.
