A year is long enough to do JEE Main properly if you give each phase a purpose. This roadmap splits the year into four phases.
The four phases
| Months | Phase | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1–5 | Learn | Cover the full syllabus, Tier A chapters first |
| 6–8 | Practise | Chapter-wise PYQs for every chapter |
| 9–10 | Test | Weekly full mocks and analysis |
| 11–12 | Polish | Revision by tier, error log, formula sheets |
Phase 1: Learn (months 1–5)
Use the priority list to decide the order: Tier A first, then Tier B, then Tier C. Start each subject with its heaviest chapter: Optics, Coordination Compounds and Co-ordinate Geometry.
Phase 2: Practise (months 6–8)
For every chapter, solve all chapter-wise PYQs, then a timed mixed set. Keep an error log.
Phase 3: Test (months 9–10)
One full mock a week, then the analysis framework. Fix the biggest category of lost marks each week.
Phase 4: Polish (months 11–12)
Revise Tier A twice, Tier B once, Tier C quickly. Follow the 90-day plan for the last stretch.
